This video tip addresses the misnomer of "sweeping the ball". While hitting up with the driver is inadvisable, so too is sweeping the ball with fairway woods. The same logic applies: the physics of the golf swing do not change just because you have a different club in your hand, and, your club is different so you don't have to swing differently!
